SNAP-8 (Synaptosomal-Associated Protein 25) is a synthetic peptide designed as an advanced anti-wrinkle ingredient. It is an octapeptide that targets expression lines and wrinkles by mimicking the effects of botulinum toxin by disrupting the SNARE protein complex, therefore reducing muscle contraction and facial tension.

Snap-8 is often found in serums and creams and can be applied to the face twice a day. For best results, it’s important to use Snap-8 consistently over time. Before using a new skincare product that contains Snap-8, it’s also recommended to perform a patch test.

Snap-8 can also help reduce redness and rosacea and is suitable for all skin types. It can be used with or without Botox and can also be used as an ingredient in your own skincare products. When using Snap-8 as an ingredient, it can be added to a bulk base or existing skincare product at a concentration of 2–10%.
